Mairav was a volunteer of the MATTER Lab who helped to create an open-source inventory of disorders and articles related to their treatment. She classified mental disorders and articles according to diagnostic and conceptual criteria, as part of the Mental Health Database project.

She also worked as a program assistant at the Child Mind Institute’s Student Success Program.
